FACING FUKUSHIMA

Kuniko (64) and Yoshio 70 Suzuki Plant rice in Iizakamachi just outside of Fukushima city. Given the OK to plant after levels of radiation were deemed low enough to not be of risk to human health.
Farmers here claim their produce is safe, the country has become hysterical about the Fukushima contamination. Farmers all over the region feel that even though their produce is safe it will fetch low prices or be refused altogether.
