Nakazato Taroemon kiln (3-6-29 Machida, Karatsu; +81-955-72-8171), located a five minute walk from the train station. The 14th successor--in an unbroken lineage--plies his trade here along with a large staff of over twenty. Situated within a Japanese bonsai garden, the time-honoured spot also features a small shop connected to a museum by a simple wooden bridge.
