Ko Imari Porcelain (old Imari) , Imari is actually made in Arita but shipped exclusively overseas, and bares designs often considered garish by Japanese standards but highly sought after by wealthily europeans. very few good pieces remain intact because the original Ko Imari was all shipped overseas leaving only a few often flawed pieces....It takes it name from the the port town of Imari where the ships of europe merchants were allowed to trade
