Shizue Nobeta-86 .I was 1 km away from home on my way to work in a rice factory. .My younger sister was working in a Castela factory near home. .Mom was working in a department store and dad was off from work and was saved before he was near his home shelter. . I was waking to work with 4 or 5 people and we were thrown far away after the explosion . after the explosion I decided to go home and everything was dark .After the explosion I saw 20 bodies lying on the ground , I heard about it from Hiroshima but I couldn't believe this was the same thing.Next morning everyone was told to go to the shelter and as I looked back I saw Nagasaki was a red sea of fire .After a few days in the shelter I should get back to work , on my way back to work I saw kids lying on the futon as if they were sleeping but they were dead .Everyone was injured so there was no to help .I saw this small child crying momy momy , his grandparents holding him. Even today I hear his cries calling for his momy . .The smell of dead bodies , a man whose skin was embedded with glass.It was a like a dead city , silent , the only sounds were the screams of the injured..All my family got sick with diarrhea for one month. There was no medicines, but my mom gave us umeboshi , I think that help a lot. Everything is lost on war, you are naked...
